Demon or Dominant Spirit

In April of 2008, our team received a call from a client requesting an investigation of their home.  It was a family of 4 with two small children.  We had to make this investigation a priority due to the children that were been  by said entity.

The farther stated he was awake and was about to go to bed when he started to see shadows in the bedroom.  He could still see the street lights from the window and that the shadows would pass by them and block out light, one of the shadows came extremely close to him and was pushing him down in bed. He explained to us how dark this matter was, "It looked like my eyes were closed but were not."  He finally picked up his cell phone to take photos within the room.

THE INVESTIGATION:

It was a Friday night when we began our investigation.  The clients decided to spend the night in a hotel with the children due not being able to sleep in their own home for weeks.

We set up camera's threw out the home. Using the wireless infrared camera we set up to view outside the home.  I had decided to have only two investigators go with in the home to do an EVP session lasting an hour.  One investigator went into the children's bedroom and had the voice recorder going.  There were many toys with in the room.  One of the toys started making noise; being a battery operated toy we have to dismiss it due to the fact that maybe the battery's were going low.  Upon closer inspection it did appear that in order for this toy to make any noise you would have to press something to get it going.  The toy would only make noise when one of us was in the room.

The Hi-8 camera was set up in the master bedroom facing out into the kitchen area.  Seeing this was going to be a two night adventure we left the home sometime after 2:30am.  We did leave the HI-8 camera running all night

Saturday night we did want the clients to stay and just do what they normally do every night.  We felt seeing we did not get too much the first night it could be the case that they were not there at all.  This time we wanted to see if this would make a difference.  

One of the claims the clients had made was that at night they could hear someone walking in the kitchen area.  We set up our wireless cameras and watched outside the residents home for activity.  We had stayed watching the monitor for about an hour and then you could hear the foot steps.  They had walked around the flooring and no one moved a muscle in the home.  They were very heavy footsteps and were able to get on video.   

THE OVERVIEW:

after viewing all the photos that was taken and hearing all the audio we were able to get a few evps.  The Hi-8 cam proved to be the best evidence.  Friday night when we left the place we did leave the hi-8 running.  About 1/2 hour after we all had left you could hear a voice coming from the home.  Very clearly you could hear that the voice was that of an older male he shouted out "HEY".  Could this had been the one walking threw the kitchen area? No one will ever really know.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

After speaking with our clients several time and after reviewing evidence we do believe that there is an entity present within the home.  However, we do not believe that the entity is attached to the property or the home but rather to the family, perhaps the father.  In some cases as such if something is troubling you in anyway or even stressed to the point you just can not handle much, it will leave a person open to what ever that may come.  We had offered consoling with our Rev.  Allan but  was refused.

Patty and I had some disagreements about this actual nature of the entity in the home. Patty held firm that the spirit was that of a dominate human spirit, while I leaned toward it being a inhuman, or demonic spirit.  Demons are drawn to families or people who are experiencing emotional traumas, extreme stress, spiritual poverty, and addiction.  There is always a reason for a demon's presence.  While we were not able to discern why the entity was there through the interview of our clients, we are quite certain that the entity is in fact harmful.  I believe that only threw the power of prayer and the breaking of addiction or the healing of emotional traumas can this spirit be defeated.  I recommended to the family that spiritual guidance from a pastor be sought, that the children be taken to church, where they will learn about God's power, and that the family pray together to surround themselves with God's love and protection.  I will also be requesting that a true believer in Christ be sent to the home to give further assistance.
