I have not doubted the existence of "ghosts" since I saw one as when i was about 7 yrs old. I was in our living room which was well lit. I saw a full body apparition walk from the wall on one side to and thru the closed window on the other. I told my grandmother and was able to describe to her the clothes and boots it wore, hair color, posture, gait of walk, approx age and sex. She told me I was imagining things. I never forgot and even as an adult always heard footsteps in the house etc. A few years ago when I was doing research on our family history, I found several photos of the house when my grandparents first bought it. It had been an old cabin and the door was where the window in the living room currently is rather than on the east side of the house where it still is today. I also found out an older man had lived there and there had been a murder in the area or on the property. I found the grave in the old cemetary that is in walking distance of the house. I confronted my grandmother with this information and reminded her of when I told her about seeing a ghost. She stated she did not want me to be afraid so brushed it off as my imagination even though she and my grandfather were the ones who did the renovations to the home and she knew where I told her the ghost walked out had once been a door. My sister was always afraid of noises she heard in the house and now writes short horror stories and does artwork bases on events from the years we lived there.
